Holcim secures 2mt coal supply for 2010

IDX-listed cement maker PT Holcim Indonesia Tbk has secured coal supply for its 2010 requirement, a company official said on Wednesday.

The company will get coal supply of 2 million tonnes in 2010 from PT Kideco Jaya Agung, PT Arutmin Indonesia, PT Adaro Indonesia and several small suppliers, Energy Activation Manager Raju Goyal told Petromindo.Com on a sideline of McCloskey Asia Pacific Coal Outlook Conference in Bali.

He did not give detail about the volume of coal supplied by each producer.

He also said that the company is constructing a 35MW coal-fired power plant in Gresik, East Java for its own use. The power plant will start operations in 2013, he said. (denny)
