House appoints new BPH Migas chairman

The House of Representatives Commission VII on mining and energy selected late Thursday nine members of the downstream oil and gas regulator BPH Migas Committee for the period of 2017-2022.

The commission also appointed M. Fanshurullah Asa, out of the nine, as the new Chairman of BPH Migas for the period of 2017-2022, who will replace Andy Noorsaman Sommeng. Fanshurullah was deputy chairman of BPH Migas for the period of 2011-2016. The commission?s decision will be submitted to President Joko Widodo for approval.

The commission selected the nine members of the BPH Migas Committee out of 22 names proposed by the government through a voting process.

The nine members of BPH Migas Committee for the next five-year are M. Fanshurullah Asa, Henri Ahmad, Sumihar Panjaitan, Marwansyah Lobo Balia, H. Ahmad Rizal, Hari Pratoyo, Jugi Prajogio, Muhammad Ibnu Fajar, and Saryono Hadiwdjoyo.
