The House of Representatives (DPR) is expected to pass into law on Oct. 23 the bill of oil and gas which was approved today (Thursday) by all factions of the House special committee in charge of deliberating the bill, according to Mines and Energy Minister Purnomo Yusgiantoro.
The government-proposed bill will liberalize the country?s oil and gas sector.
Until recently, the small but vocal PDKP objected to the launching of the new oil and gas bill saying that Indonesia was not yet ready for the opening up of its oil and gas sector. (godang)
