Kardaya Warnika has been replaced as head of the House of Representatives? Commission VII in charge of energy and mining affairs for unclear reasons.

He has been replaced by Gus Irawan, his fellow legislator from the Gerindra Party. Kardaya who spent most of his career as official in the energy and mineral resources ministry and once served as head of BPMIGAS (now SKK Migas) has been moved to Commission XI which is in charge of finance banking and state budget.

He does not have an important position in the Commission XI. ?I moved from Comission VII to Commission XI as an ordinary member,? he told Petromindo.com, while refusing to explain the reason behind his movement.

Kardaya?s movement to Commission XI raised some eyebrows as he is among few legislators who are knowledgeable about oil affairs. Sources said that he has been in conflict with some top leaders of his party, Gerindra, who is led by (Ret) General Prabowo Subianto.
