House selects energy commission leaders

The House of Representatives has selected leaders of the Comission VII which oversees among others energy affairs.

Kardaya Warnika, former chairman of now-defunct BPMIGAS, who is now a member of the Gerindra party, was named chair of the commission. There are three deputies to assist him, namely Satya W Yudha from the Golkar party, Muldya from the Demokrat party and Tamsil Linrung from the PKS party.

All the parties are part of the Red White coalition led by Prabowo Subianto, who lost the presidential election to Joko Widodo.
