Households in Sidoarjo district starts getting gas supply

As many as 1,157 households in Ketegan Village, Tanggulangin District, Sidoarjo Regency, East Java Province, has started receiving gas supply since Monday following completion of household gas pipeline network being developed in the region.

The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources said in a statement that the government has set a target to develop new gas pipelines in Sidoarjo this year to cover up to 11,418 households including 3,653 households in Tanggulangin District. Gas supply comes for the project from the Lapindo field, the statement said.

The ministry said that the development of the household gas pipeline networks across the country forms part of efforts to help households converters into cheaper natural gas as cooking fuel.
