The export reference price (or known here as HPE) for copper concentrates for the period of April is set at an average US$1,607.14 per wet metric ton, up slightly by 0.25 percent compared to the level in March, the Ministry of Trade said in a statement.

But the HPE for other mineral concentrates subject to export duty for the period are mostly down compared to March in line with the lingering decline in the price of most mining commodities.

The HPE for iron ore concentrates (hematite, magnetite, and pyrite) are down 7.35 percent to average level of $42.20 per WMT. HPE for iron ore concentrates (gutit and laterite) down 3.02 percent to $15.30 per WMT.

HPE for manages concentrates lowered by 6.07 percent to average rate of $156.29 per WMT, while lead concentrates down 4.34 percent to $485.56 per WMT.

Meanwhile, HPE for ilmenite and titanium concentrates were unchanged.

The ministry set the monthly HPE based on price information from various sources notably Asian Metal (for HPE of iron ore and manganese concentrates) and from the London Metal Exchange for the other commodities.
