HPE of mineral concentrates for February mostly down

The export reference price (HPE) of mineral concentrates for the period of February 2015 are mostly down compared to prices in January in accordance with the lingering price downturn in most mining commodities, the Ministry of Trade announced Monday.

The ministry said that the HPE for copper concentrates declined by 3.79 percent to an average of US$1,683.70 per WMT, iron ore concentrates (hematite, magnetite, pyrite) down by 1.82 percent to an average price of $49.52 per WMT, iron ore concentrates (gutit and laterit) fell by 22.78 percent to an average of $16.89 per WMT, manganese concentrates down by 0.85 percent to an average of $171.76 per WMT, and zinc concentrates fell by 3.62 percent to $535.24 per WMT.

Meanwhile, the price of ilmenite and titanium were unchanged.
