The administraition of Hulu Sungai Selatan (HSS) regency , in South Kalimantan, has yet to receive royalty from coal mining company PT Antang Gunung Meratus (AGM) because the company has yet to report its coal production to the central government in Jakarta, Banjarmasin Post reported on Thursday.
?We don?t know how much royalty to be paid by AGM to Jakarta and how large allocated to the HSS regency,? the head of the local mining office, Asyikin Noor said.
He said that under the current system in which all the royalties should be first paid to the central government had often caused a delay in the payment of the royalties allocated for the local government.
Asyikin hopes that the system is changed so that the local government can directly receive the royalties from the company. (*)
