Huadian, Essar eyeing Indonesia minemouth plant projects

State electricity firm PLN said Thursday electricity firms from China and India are planning to build mine mouth power plants in coal-rich provinces of South Sumatra and South Kalimantan.

?Huadian Group from China and Essar Group from India are in talks with PLN over the possibility to build minemouth power plants in the two provinces,? said PLN director Ali Herman Ibrahim. Herman, however, did not disclose the size of the plants the two firms are looking to develop. (godang)
