IDX-listed energy transporter PT Humpuss Intermoda Transportasi Tbk (HIT) is targeting to win an LNG carrier tender in which it will transport LNG to state-owned electricity firm PT PLN?s power plant in Gorontalo, according to a top official of Humpuss.
?Well, now we will focus to PLN?s power plant in Gorontalo,? President Director of Humpuss Theo Lekatompessy said to Petromindo.com, without providing the company?s plan in details.
In June, this portal reported that PT Perta Daya Gas (PDG), a joint venture of PT Indonesia Power (IP) and PT Pertamina Gas (Pertagas), plans to build and operate a receiving and regasification LNG terminal in Gorontalo to enable the 4x25 MW PLTG Gorontalo gas turbine power plant to receive LNG.
IP is a subsidiary of state owned electricity company PLN, meanwhile Pertagas is a subsidiary of state owned oil and gas company PT Pertamina.
Head of Gas and Oil Fuel Division at PLN Chairani Rachmatullah said earlier that PLN was preparing the design for the receiving and regasification LNG terminal in Gorontalo. ?The plan to build and operate the LNG terminal is still being discussed with Perta Daya Gas,? she said.
Previously, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) inaugurated the PLTG Gorontalo power plant, located in Maleo village, Paguat district, Pohuwato regency, Gorontalo province, which will increase power supply in Gorontalo and North Sulawesi provinces. Groundbreaking of the project was held in September of last year, and PLN managed to complete the project in seven months.
