Humpuss, partners eyeing Tangguh LNG transportation contract

JSX-listed shipping firm PT. Humpuss Intermoda Transport, teaming up with state oil and gas company PT. Pertamina and Japan shipping firm Mitsui OSK Lines had passed pre-qualification bid for transportation of LNG from Tangguh LNG plant.
Humpuss president Eddy Pramono was quoted by Bisnis Indonesia daily as saying that the winner decision was expected on April this year.
Eddy said under the commercial proposal submitted to Tangguh LNG, the consortium would procure 4 LNG carriers to ship Tangguh?s LNG to China, South Korea and US for 20 years.
He added that the contract would be worth about US$ 20 million per year.
The carriers, said Eddy would be ordered from Japan and Korean shipyards. (*)
