PT Humpuss Pengolahan Minyak (HPM), a unit of the Humpuss Group, is seeking to relocate its 10,000 bpd oil refinery to Bojonegoro, East Java, from the current location in Cepu, Central Java Province.
Humpuss Group Director Eko Sunarko told Petromindo.com on Thursday that HPM has requested for permit from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, and the upstream oil and gas authority SKK Migas for the relocation of the mini refinery as well as for crude allocation.
?We?ll move to Bojonegoro, where we have prepared the land. We have also applied to the ministry and SKK Migas for the feedstock supply,? Eko said, adding that the firm hopes to be able to get crude supply from fields located around Bojonegoro. He declined to provide further details.
HPM, set up in 1995, completed a 10,000 bpd mini refinery in Cepu in 1998, but has yet to be able to operate it as the required feedstock is not yet available.
