State oil and gas company PT Pertamina claimed on Monday that 136 companies, including oil majors, had voiced interest to jointly develop the firm?s oil and gas fields across the country that remain unexplored or underdeveloped.

The interested companies include 35 foreign companies such as Marathon, Chevron, Anadarko, Petronas, Tri Siwindono, development director of Pertamina?s upstream subsidiary Pertamina EP, said.

?We shall open our data room for the interested companies in August,? Tri said.

Pertamina is offering the investors to jointly develop 15 of its fields, including eight production fields and seven exploration fields located onshore Sumatra, Java, Kalimantan and Papua.

Pertamina?s upstream director Sukusen Soemarinda said Pertamina was hammering out the terms and conditions of the joint cooperation in order to meet the requirements set by oil and gas upstream regulator BP Migas. BP Migas wants a 85:15 percent production split is applied in the contract between Pertamina and its potential partners to develop the 15 fields ? meaning 85 percent of the oil output should be given to the government with Pertamina and partners holding the remaining 15 percent of the output

?BP Migas does not want (to give) more (to Pertamina and its potential partners),? Tri said. (Godang)
