Husky re-tenders EPC for FPSO in Madura Strait

Husky Oil Madura (Ltd), a unit of Canadian oil, gas firm Husky Energy, is re-tendering the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) for the floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) for its Madura Strait production sharing contract (PSC), offshore of East Java.

Gerhard Rumeser, Deputy of General Affairs at SKSP Migas, told petromindo.com that the initial tender was not successful as there was only 1 participant that had managed to pass the tender pre-qualification process.

The company has said that the FPSO would have capacity to process 110 mmscfd of gas and 8,000 bopd of condensate, water purification capacity of 2,500 bopd and stable condensate heating capacity of 370,000 barrels.

The FPSO will be equipped with spread mooring system, flexible risers and all necessary topside facilities to process sour gas. In 2007, Husky signed gas sales agreements with three local companies for the sale of 100 million cubic feet per day of gas production from the block.
