Husky secures rig for E. Java drilling campaign

Canadian oil, gas firm Husky Energy said on Tuesday it had secured Transocean Adriatic XI jack up rig to carry out drilling of two exploration wells at East Bawean II PSC, offshore East Java in the second quarter of 2009.

The company completed a 1,410 square kilometre 3-D seismic program over this block in preparation for the program.

Husky has 100 percent interest in the block, which was awarded in 2006. (alex)
