Husky submits E. Java gas field amended PoD

Canadian oil, gas firm Husky Energy has submitted amended plan of development (PoD) for the BD gas and condensate field in Madura Strait PSC offshore East Java to BPMIGAS, the company said in a quarterly report released Wednesday.

?Negotiations continued with BPMIGAS and other players in order to expedite the approval process. Environmental impact studies were started during the second quarter,? the company said.

Husky has 100 percent working interest in Madura Strait PSC, which has proven and probable reserves of 360 BCF.

Husky is reportedly in talks with several parties including Pertamina, state electricity firm PLN and state gas distribution firm PGN to sell gas from BD field.

Elsewhere, the company also reported that it was currently assessing bids to acquire 3-D seismic data on its recently awarded exploration block, East Bawean II, also located offshore East Java. (alex)
