Canadian oil and gas firm Husky Energy said it anticipates first gas from the offshore Madura Strait block offshore East Java in 2014 or 2015.
Husky said in a quarterly update report that work is currently continuing on an exploration drilling program with a view of receiving first gas in 2015 at the latest. It added recent new discoveries offshore Indonesia are under evaluation.
The block is managed by its unit, Husky Oil Madura Ltd.
In 2007, Husky signed gas sales agreements with three local companies for the sale of 100 million cubic feet per day of natural gas production from the block.
