Husky works towards E. Java gas commercialization

Canadian-based oil firm Husky eenergy said on Monday that work was progressing toward establishing a natural gas contract for the two natural gas fields yet to be developed' in Madura Strait PSC, offshore East Java.
The company did not give detail whom it was in talks with.
Husky increased interest in the block late last year by acquiring 68.7 percent of ExxonMobil's interest.
According to Husky's earlier release, the block has 2 gas fields; Madura BD with probable reserves of 212 billion cubic feet (bcf) of natural gas and 12.2 million barrels (mmbls) of natural gas liquids and The MDA field, which has discovered resources of 150 bcf.
In addition, the company also said it had commenced seismic studies on the Madura exploration areas.(alex)
