State construction firm PT Hutama Karya (Persero) has signed a syndicated credit facility worth Rp13.645 trillion, equivalent to about US$807 million, to finance the Betung Sp. Sekayu Tempino Jambi section of the Trans Sumatra Toll Road.

The financing agreement was signed on Feb. 23 in Jakarta with a banking syndicate comprising Bank Mandiri, Bank Rakyat Indonesia, Bank Syariah Indonesia, Bank Central Asia, Bank Mega and PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur.

Hutama Karya said the facility will strengthen the project’s funding structure and support construction continuity for the 170.73 km toll road linking Betung in South Sumatra to Jambi City. The section is part of the broader Trans Sumatra Toll Road corridor connecting key logistics routes across the island.

The company said studies indicate the toll road could reduce travel time by about 59.05%, improving safety, comfort and transport service quality while facilitating goods distribution and regional economic activity.
