Hydrocarbon show at Chevron?s C. Sumatra drilling

Tests that are currently progressing Chevron?s Parit Minyak-1 exploration well in Central Sumatra had indicated presence of hydrocarbon, a BPMIGAS official said on Monday.
Dodi Hidayat, BPMIGAS deputy operations told Petromindo.Com that the well, which was drilled to the depth of 9,734 feet on June 16 flowed 63 barrels of oil per day at 8,970-9,020 feet interval and 89 BPD at 6225 - 6350 feet interval. ?Further tests are currently ongoing,? he said.
Chevron Indonesia top official Suwito Anggoro said that tests are currently being undertaken and results are not yet conclusive.
Parit Minyak is the first well drilled in the Block. Chevron is the block operator with 50 percent working interest. Pacific Oil and Gas has the remaining balance. (godang)
