Ian McMaster named as Intrepid Mines' chairman

Ian McMaster succeeds Cohn Jackson as Intrepid Mines? chairman effective today, the company statement said.
Previously McMaster was deputy chair and the former chairman of Emperor Mines Limited with whom Intrepid merged in 2008.
Jackson, who has chaired the Company for the last eight years, and who was re-elected by shareholders this year, moved to the deputy chair role.
McMaster replaces Jackson as chair of Remuneration and Nomination committee and relinquishes the chair of the Audit and Risk committee to Jackson.
The Company said that it would remain totally committed to the Tujuh Bukit gold-silver and copper-gold project in East Java, Indonesia where Intrepid?s current investment totals US$102.7 million. The Company?s unencumbered treasury position is US$116.1 million.
