Ibris Nickel expects to boost ore nickel production

Singapore-based mineral mining company, Ibris Nickel Pte Ltd is expecting to increase its nickel ore from its concession in Malone, North Konawe, South East Sulawesi.

Agus Suhartono, Chief Operating Officer of Ibris Nickel Indonesia told Petromindo.com the company is expecting to produce up to 3 million tons, substantially higher compared to 2012's production which was only 2.5 million tons.

"So far our production is at the level of 250,000 tons per month," he said adding that all the produced ores are exported to China and Australia.

Agus revealed that the company originally intended to double its production up to 5 million tons this year, however, since heavy rains kept falling along the first half of the year the ore production activities could not be conducted maximally.
