IBT to double throughput capacity

South Kalimantan coal terminal operator PT.Indonesia Bulk terminal (IBT) plans to double throughput capacity to 24 million tonnes per annum in 2010 to anticipate raising coal production from Kalimantan producers.
Director A. H. Chia told Petromindo.Com on Monday that feasibility study for the expansion is underway.
IBT sister company PT.Adaro Indonesia is planning to double production capacity to 80MTPA in the next five years.
The terminal, popularly known as Pulau Laut Coal Terminal, is the largest public coal facility in South East Asia, capable of servicing vessel of up to 80,000 DWT. It has 2x400,000 tonnes stockpile, that could store up to 8 different coal products and 2x3,000 TPH ship loaders.(denny)
