Chemical grade alumina producer PT Indonesia Chemical Alumina (ICA) said it would need about 150,000-200,000 tons of coal next year to fuel a coal-fired power plant at its CGA plant in Tayan, Sanggau Regency, West Kalimantan.
Tatang Hendra, President Director of ICA told Petromindo.com on Friday that the coal for the 2x12 MW power plant must have calorific value of 5,100 kcal/kg.
Tatang said that coal for the power plant, which was commissioned in 2014, has been supplied by coal miner PT Arutmin, but ICA is open to other suppliers for next year ?as long as the price is competitive.?
