ICA targets higher alumina output next year

PT Indonesia Chemical Alumina (ICA) plans to produce about 180,000 tons of chemical grade alumina next year at its Tayan CGA plant in Tayan, Sanggau Regency, West Kalimantan.

This would be higher than this year?s output target of 158,000 tons.

Tatang Hendra, President Director of ICA told Petromindo.com on Friday that the company is seeking to increase production as it aims to increase sales volume.

Aside from the domestic market, ICA exports its product to Japan, Chian, Korea, Europe and several Southeast Asian countries such Malaysia and Thailand.

?In 2016 we will penetrate these markets in order to increase our sales volume in line with our program for ramping up the production capacity,? Tatang said, adding that the Tayan CGA plant is expected to reach its maximum production capacity of 300,000 tons in the third year after commencing production

Tatang explained that the products of CGA have wide industrial markets such as tile, electricity insulator, refractory, electronic, cosmetic etc. The CGA product can be used into 193 variant products.
