ICMA appoints Hendra as new executive director

The country?s mining lobbyist group, Indonesian Coal Mining Association (APBI) has appointed Hendra Sinadia as its new executive director, replacing Supriatna Suhala who has retired from the post since October 1.

Hendra?s appointment was made based on the association?s internal selection recently.

The handover ceremony between Hendra and Supriatna would be held on October 6.

?We hope all stakeholders (in coal mining industry) to support APBI in its agenda to improve the country?s coal mining sector,? Hendra told Petromindo on Thursday.

As of 2016, APBI has total members of 147 companies consisting of 87 coal mining companies which produced about 80 percent of total national coal production, and 60 mining services companies.
