Indonesia Coal Mining Association (ICMA) predicts the country's coal production in 2015 to reach 445 million to 450 million tons.

Supriatna Suhala, ICMA Executive Director told Petromindo.Com that there will be a slight increase in 2015 from the production of 2014 which was about 437 million tons.

"Although the government wants to put a limitation on production, but it will be difficult to control the coal output as every coal mining has their own market," Supriatna said.

He predicted that the coal price will recover in 2016 as demand picks up with the completion and construction of new power plants in Asia.
