Coal mining company PT Indonesia Coal Resources (PT ICR), a wholly owned subsidiary of IDX-listed mining firm PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (Antam), will increase trading volume of high calorific value (CV) coal from 250,000 tons last year to 275,000 tons this year.
Ady Taufik Yudisia, President Director of ICR told Petromindo.com on Tuesday that the company decided to increase the trading of the high CV coal following a new request made in the first half of this year.
?This year, our (initial) target for coal with high calorie of up to 6,600 ADB was around 250,000 (tons) especially for supplying Antam?s project in Pomalaa, Southeast Sulawesi. However, in the first half of 2015 we received a request for a high CV coal to (be shipped to) Malaysia,? he said, without disclosing the amount of the new request. According to Ady, the high CV coal for trading activity is taken from suppliers in South Kalimantan.
Ady said that ICR?s coal concession in Sarolangun, Jambi Province, in the second half of 2015 is expected to produce about 260,000 tons, with sales volume expected at about 250,000 tons.
