Idemitsu seeks to increase Indonesian coal import

Japan resources firm Idemitsu Kosan Co. Ltd. Will increase coal import from Indonesia to 1 million tonnes this year.

Manager Coal Supply and Logistics Idemitsu Hideo Onuma said the Company imported 700,000 tonnes of Indonesian coal last year.

He said 50-70% of its coal requirement is supplied by state coal mining firm PT Tambang Batubara Bukit Asam and the rest from Kalimantan coal miner PT Baramulti Group and from PT Dasa Eka Jasatama (DEJ) through global coal trader Noble Group. (denny)
