Iluka?s Koba Tin H1 earnings slightly up

Australian listed mining company Iluka Resources said Friday revenue from its 75 percent-owned subsidiary, PT Koba Tin that operates Tin mine in Bangka-Belitung province, increased from A$43.4 million to A$66.1 million for the first half of this year.

According to Iluka?s half yearly report, Koba Tin?s earnings for the first half is A $2.3 million, slightly increased from last year corresponding period?s net earnings of A$ 2.1 million.

Iluka said the slight increase was due to low commodity price.

Iluka also said security problems at the mine also affected the business. (alex)
