IMIP aims to complete port project next year

Indonesia Morowali Industrial Park (IMIP), where an integrated nickel smelter and stainless steel industry owned by PT Sulawesi Mining Investment (SMI) is located, is currently in the process of developing a port with a capacity of 100,000 dwt.

Alexander Barus, CEO of IMIP Group, told Petromindo.com recently that the progress of construction of the port has now reached 20 percent, and is targeted to be completed next year. The industrial estate is located in Morowali, Central Sulawesi.

He said that total investment requirement for the port project is estimated at US$120 million.
