IMK to pay compensation for ending contract with workers supplier

Gold mining firm PT Indo Muro Kencana (IMK), a unit of Australia?s Aurora Gold operating in Central Kalimantan, finally agrees to pay some Rp 420 million (US$1=Rp 10,200) in compensation to CV Miftah, a company which supplies temporary workers to IMK, for unilaterally terminating a business contract.
The local Banjarmasin Post daily quoted Miftah legal consultant Sukriadi as saying that around Rp 300 million would be distributed to 70 workers who have to loss their jobs at IMK.
The paper did not say why IMK had to terminate the contract with Miftah.(*)
