Indonesia coal trader, PT IMR Mining Services is expecting to sell about five million tons of thermal coal this year.

Tatang Mulyadi, IMR's executive told Petromindo.com, that currently the coal supply in Indonesia is very rare, and the market is stagnant.

"In this kind of market situation, we don't have to be ambitious or it will become boomerang for us, because for miners the cash cost is increasing while the margin is decreased," he said on the sideline of the 11th Coaltrans China in Beijing.

So far IMR sells the coal to China and India.

Tatang added that currently the coal price in China is still low. "But fortunately the coal price in India is increasing," he said.
