Inalum introduces new products to customers

State-owned aluminum producer PT Indonesia Asahan Aluminium (Inalum) introduced on November 3 its new products, billet and foundry alloy, to seven customers in Medan, North Sumatra.

Inalum Operation Director S. Sijabat said in a statement obtained Friday that the two products form part of the company?s diversification from its traditional product of aluminum ingot.

The company started production of billet and foundry allow at its facility in North Sumatra in May of this year. Sijabat said that the facility has installed capacity of 30,000 tons per year of billet, and 90,000 tons per year of foundry alloy.

Inalum previously said that peak production is projected to be reached din 2020.
