The inauguration of Eddie Napitupulu as the president of power operation PLN PJB II, a unit of state-owned electricity company PLN, has been delayed due to massive protest from the PJB II staffs, according to a source.
The source said that that Napitupulu was deemed to be not fit to lead the power operation because of alleged corruption in the past.
Napitupulu, together with newly appointed president of Indonesia Power (another PLN unit) Eddie Widiono were supposed to be sworn in on October 3.
But the source said that because of protest toward Napitupulu, PLN president Kuntoro Mangkusubroto decided to postpone the swearing in of both top officials.
It is not clear whether Kuntoro would drop Napitupulu due to the protest. (R. Amoros).
