Inco: Invitation for registration of interest operating coal supply services

PT INTERNATIONAL NICKEL INDONESIA Tbk (PT. Inco), located in Sorowako, South Sulawesi invites suppliers to submit a Registration of Interest (RoI) for the provision of Operating Coal Supply Services.

The scope of services includes the CIF supply of operating coat to PT Inco?s discharge port located in Malili, South Sulawesi. The coal is used for Ni and Fe reduction in the Kilns and for the future use will be used for coal burning in the Dryers and Kilns. The scope includes mining, testing, transportation for loading at the suppliers berth and transporting to PT Inca?s discharge port. The Rot includes the following requirements:

a) A two-year coal supply contracts of 50,000 tonnes and 75,000 tonnes of coal in years 2007 and 2008, respectively.
b) An option for a two-year contract to supply an approximate additional 350,000 tonnes/year of coal in 2009 and 2010 to meet the start of the Dryer and Kiln burner conversion.

The interested suppliers shall comply with, and submit all of, the following requirements as below:

1. Izin Usaha Jasa Pertambangan Umum from their coal mine source, The mine source must have a permit of a PKP2B or KP (Kuasa Pertambangan tahap Eksploltasi dan Kuasa Pertambangan tahap Pengangkutan dan Penjualan) which is valid until 2011.
2. Signed supply guarantee letter from the mine source.
3. Supplier?s Audited Financial Statement from the last 3 years.
4. Detailed coal chemical specifications of proposed coal (PT Inco?s specification is provided in the document package).
5. A list of previous and current coal contract supply experience (quantity for the last 5 years).
6. Supplier?s Company profile, and a Certificate from Chamber of Commerce indicating its registration as a Company.

Prequalifications of suppliers will be based on the data submitted from interested suppliers. Only the qualified suppliers will be invited to the formal tender.
