Inco resumes nickel refinery operation after quake

PT International Nickel Indonesia Tbk (Inco) has resumed the operation of the company?s nickel processing plant in Sorowoko, South Sulawesi which was halted early last week following a quake in the area, Kontan reported Monday.
The company said that the operation was resumed on Friday after being halted on Tuesday following a 6.1 richter ? scale earthquake, which affected the power supply to the company?s nickel processing plant.
Inco?s communication director Jannus TH Siahaan said that all the production facilities had been ready for operation since Thursday. ?But it will take time to return to normal production rate,? he said as reported by Kontan daily. (*)
