Inco suspends operation following earthquake

"There were no reports of personal injuries. All of the facilities including the Hydro Stations and Process Plant have been inspected and are in good condition," the firm said in a statement filed with the Jakarta Stock Exchange on Tuesday.
Electrical lines and switchyards were partially affected impacting power supply to processing facilities and communities. Power was restored to both processing facilities and to communities by Thursday, Feb. 17, the company said.
"We are thoroughly assessing our facilities before restart, to ensure equipment is operating in a proper and safe manner. Production is expected to return to normal within 3 to 4 days. Impact to production is expected to be made up through the next months," it said. (alex)
