India?s JSW Steel in no rush to develop Jambi coal mine

Indian steel firm JSW Steel Limited said it was not rushing to develop its coal mine in Jambi province, at it was still waiting for the full implementation of the new Mining Law.
?We?re still waiting for the Implementing Regulations on the Mining Law,? Executive Director JSW Limited Tuhin K. Mukherjee told Petromindo.Com recently.
He did not give detail.
Mukherjee said the Jambi mine would be developed to meet coal requirement of its existing 990-MW power plant in India.
The Company is reportedly acquiring the Jambi mine in 2007.(denny)
