India?s Kiri eyeing Kalimantan coal mines

Mumbai-based firm Kiri Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd is conducting due diligence to acquire coal mines in Kalimantan, the company?s senior offer told Petromindo.Com recently.

?We are now, conducting legal due diligence to acquire two coal mines, which are located in South Kalimantan and East Kalimantan,? the official has said.

Currently, the company has 1,500 MW power plant in India and has imported around 2 million tonnes of coal per annum. The coal is coming from Australia and Indonesia, the official said without giving further details. (denny)
