India?s Midwest Granite in final negotiation to acquire coal mine

Indian firm Midwest Granite Private Limited is in final negotiation to acquire an East Kalimantan coal mine, the company?s official told Petromindo.Com
The mine, which is located in Kutai Kartanegara regency is already holding IUP operation and production, the official said. ?Exploration drilling on the mine has been completed. Once we have concluded the negotiation, we will directly enter into construction phase,? the official said.
The mine has calorific value of 5,200 kcal/kg (ADB) with current reserve of 15-20 million tonnes and is near to Mahakam river, the official said.
The company is still looking for other opportunities to acquire coal mines in Indonesia, the official added. (denny)
