The company has shipped 2 panamax cargoes from PTBA and will ship two more panamax cargoes in July-August, the official said without giving details on the price agreed in the deal.
The company is still seeking reliable coal suppliers, the official said.
?We?re looking for coal with heating value of 5,300-5,100 kcal/kg (ADB) and 5,000 kcal/kg-up (NAR),? he said.
The company also plans to start production from its coal mine in East Kalimantan in November this year which is expected to have an initial production of 20,000 tonnes per month.
Production at its East Kalimantan mine is expected to reach 1 million tonnes of high gross calorific value (GCV) thermal coal annually by 2012, he said.

The coal from the mine will be shipped to feed the company?s new steel integrated plant which will have a production capacity of 0.5 MTPA in Naomundi, state of Jharkhand, India and is still being constructed. The plant will have 30-MW power plant.
Taurian operates iron ore mines in Jharkhand which has been operating since 2001 with an output of approximately 1 MTPA and it is one of the leading mining companies in the East Coast of India. (denny)
