India?s Thriveni starts Jambi coal production

Indian firm Thriveni Earthmovers Private Ltd.'s Indonesian coal unit PT Thriveni has started commercial production in April this year at Jambi mine with an output of 50,000 tonnes per month, the company?s official told Petromindo.Com.
At present, the company has sold the coal to local industries and there are now some 60,000 tonnes of the commodity at its stockpile available for any interested buyers, the official said.
The mine, located in Sarolangun regency, has obtained IUP production. The coal has calorific value of 5,300-5,100 kcal/kg (ADB) with moisture 40-45%.
The mine has a reserve of around 15-20 million tonnes. (denny)
