India?s Thriveni to double Jambi coal output

Indian firm Thriveni Earthmovers Private Ltd.'s Indonesian coal unit PT Thriveni plans to double its coal production from 750,000 tonnes last year to 1.5 million tonnes this year, the company?s official told Petromindo.Com.
The company's mine, which started production in April last year, is located in Sarolangun regency and has an IUP production permit. The coal has calorific value of 5,500-5,100 kcal/kg (ADB) with moisture content of 40-45%. The mine has a reserve of around 15-20 million tonnes.
The company ships out its coal through 160-kilometers of haul road to Talang Duku port
The company has also coal mine in Bengkulu province but it is sill in exploration stage, the official said.
