Indonesia-listed coal mining firm PT Berau Coal Energy Tbk said on Monday that it is estimating that its main coal export destination will be taken over by India in 2014-2015, the company?s CFO said.
Starting 2014-2015, the company sees that demand from India will be higher than China, which now is the main buyer by country of the company's coal, John J Ramos said, without giving detail figures.
Berau is expecting to produce 23 million tonnes of coal next year from this year?s target of 20 million tonnes with average selling price will be at around $80 per tonne, slightly lower than this year?s average of $81 per tonne.
Berau?s major clients by country as of September are China (43.9%), Taiwan (17.4%), Indonesia (14%), South Korea (11.2%) and India (8.6%). (giok)
