Indian firm acquires Sumatra coal mine

Indian firm GMR Infrastructure said on Wednesday that its unit had acquired 100% ownership interest of PT Barasentosa Lestari (BSL), a limited liability Company of Indonesia on February 24,2009.

BSL is holding a coal-mining license under the Coal Contract of Work issued by the Government of Indonesia. The license provides 30-year mining authorization over 2 separate coal blocks in South Sumatra, Indonesia, the company said. (denny)
