Indika eyes Straits acquisition

IDX-listed energy and contractor firm PT.Indika Energi Tbk is eyeing to acquire stake at Singapore Exchange-listed coal miner Straits Asia Resources Limited.
CEO Arsjad Rasjid was quoted by Investor daily as saying that the company is currently conducting due diligence on Straits.
Other company interested in Straits is Hong Kong-based commodity trader Noble Group, the report said.
Straits? main assets are Sebuku coal mine in South Kalimantan and Jembayan mine in East Kalimantan with planned combined production of 9-11 million tonnes this year. (*)
