Indika to acquire MBSS

IDX-listed energy firm PT Indika Energy Tbk announced on Monday it has signed option agreement on November 26, 2010 to acquire 51% shares of coal logistics and transportation provider PT Mitrabahtera Segarasejati (MBSS).
The company said that the agreement was signed with MBSS shareholders PT Patin Resources, Patricia Pratiwi Suwati Prasatya and Ingrid Ade Sundari Prasatya.
Under the deal, Indika will conduct due diligence on MBSS and completion of transaction will be subjected to undisclosed terms and condition.
MBSS is one of the largest coal logistics providers with fleet of tugs and barges and transshipment facilities.
Indika is a controlling shareholder of East Kalimantan coal miner PT Kideco Jaya Agung. (alex)
