PT Jogja Magasa Iron, a subsidiary of Australian-listed Indo Mines Limited, has made significant progress during the first quarter of this year in completing the construction works for the demonstration plant in its Karangwuni project.

"The primary circuit has now been commissioned and approximately 20,000 tonnes of material have been treated through this circuit. Dry commissioning of the secondary circuit identified a number of engineering and fabrication issues which required modification and repair. The upgrade of this circuit is now largely complete and we expect to commence production of final concentrate within the next few weeks," the company stated in its quarterly report submitted to the ASX.

Indo Mines previously expected the entrance of new shareholder Rajawali Group and the appointment of consultant Credit Suisse (Australia) Limited to develop its Jogjakarta iron project and commence production in mid-2013.
